Data:
- This is a standard slide rule without markings
- Scales on the front are A, B, CI, C, and D.
- On the back, there is a short manual in German.
- The entire slide rule is made of cardboard (in some places multiple layers) and appears to be homemade, particularly the cursor, which is clearly handmade.
- Dimensions: 260 × 40 mm.
- On the front is a logo with the name FLARO and on the back is the name Rothmann. (It is possible that the name Rothmann is incorporated in the last two letters of the Logo).
Questions:
- Has anyone seen anything like this before?
- Does anyone know FLARO or the name Rothmann?

The Rumanian company Flaro (short for Flamura Rosie, i.e. Red Flag), established in 1948, has been making stationery, office supplies and haberdashery since the 1950's. Flaro was the first Rumanian company to make ‘plastic products’ and is most famous for its fountain pens. It is based in Sibiu (Hermannstadt).
